69 grn. Bullets
« on: October 29, 2018, 07:05:07 PM »
Going to try the 69 grn. Lapua Scenar-L open tip match and the Sierra 69 grn. HPBT-Match on my first go round. I haven't read much about the 69 grainers yet. Hornady and Sierra both have load data listed. Need to get a set of dies and I'll be ready to load. Going to try IMR-8208 first. TAC shoots very well in the .223 and should be a good choice as well. Will post my results if anyone is interested. Anyone shooting the lighter bullets for varmints or predators with good results? I'm shooting(started today) a PSA 18" stainless upper with Hyper Touch 3Gun Trigger. The Federal American Eagle 75 grainers produced 2" groups today at 100 yds from the bench. Only fired 20 rounds. Range was very busy today. Take Care, TKG

For a varmint round I think you would still want the most accurate round. Recoil is not an issue with any projectile. I wouldn't limit my options to the lighter projectiles. My 2 cents
