« on: October 11, 2018, 05:10:04 PM »
What's up Fella's! Went to the range 2 consecutive days to test some 90 SMK and CFE 223 @25.1 in my 24' Sanders Armory 1.6.7
I'm 10 thou off my barrels lands..I loaded coal 2.250 Virgin Starline brass with some Federal 205M @100yrds
The Velocity are not the fastest@2611 but it will still get me to 1k with 10.2mils elev at my range.. single digit s-d at 7.4 I'm pretty happy with results..considering this is my 3rd powder i tested...more testing to follow with 88Eld's next stay tuned..

Glad to see CFE is working. I used 26.0 @2.25 w/88gr ELD and got .75 grp @ 100. 90 SMK are my next test.

CFE seems to be kind of a dark horse.  Iíve gotten promising groups with the 88ELDís and just put it behind some 77TMK tonight with good results.  I had not considered CFE 223 for the heavier bullets, maybe I will reconsider.

Where did you get the Sierra 90 gr. bullets?
Are you sure they are the new vs old bullets?

Sierra says there is no difference in product# or packaging, and vendors may have "old" bullets. Repeated emails to Midway have not yielded an answer as to whether their 500 qty. 90's are old or new stock.

I'd like to get 500 without paying the direct from Sierra price.

After going through layers of customer service, Midway claims their 500 qty. 90 gr. Sierra's are the new production. They are on sale right now ($154.79), but no free shipping.
